@Marc-Andre Still around? Just curious.
01:02
@Phrancis I am!
Should I wait until your web app is completed before I add any more content on the website, or is it going to carry over pretty easily?
01:14
how it will be really easy to merge things dont worry
Ok cool.
What about for the Cyborg Chronicles mod sub-site? Planning to have same/similar layout, but completely different design (colors, fonts...) and obviously content
01:39
No problem too :P
Cool!
Guess I'll start continue making the game screenshots page then, for now

Q: Ingredient selection for Canadian Poutine dish

PhrancisPoutine is a simple dish traditionally from Québec, Canada. It is traditionally made with French fries, topped with fresh mild white cheddar curds (quite unlike American white cheddar which is quite sharp) and with a tangy and salty brown gravy poured on top of it all. It looks something like thi...

Hmm, beef and chicken broth, eh? Didn't think of trying them together

Ricardo is the new sensation in Quebec (the province)! He`s quite popular with "les vielles matantes"!

A: Ingredient selection for Canadian Poutine dish

CindyHello @Phrancis and welcome to Seasoned Advice! Poutine gravy is a beef gravy made with beef or veal stock. Here is a link to a recipe . There are many other recipes online, as well. You can buy the prepared sauce online here or a gravy mix on Amazon . By the way, you were on the right trac...

@Marc-Andre There's a poutine restaurant close to Molson Center in Montreal, do you recall the name of it?
BTW, good news:
The site finally looks like it should on this browser!
@Phrancis I've never been to that restaurant. Not that much a fan of poutine
@bazola or @SimonAndréForsberg can you re-pin this when you have a chance?
Nov 25 at 18:39, by Simon André Forsberg
@Marc-Andre Sacrilege! (just kidding ;-)
@Phrancis It's a nice place (lesacrilege.com) :P
Hahaha
not sure how to pin just the message without scrolling up
you know, i really hate that arrays start with a 0. they should just start with a 1 and be done with all this off by one confusion
21:04
@bazola The thing is I hate when an array start with 1 .... How would we live in one system or the other! :P ;)
2
it just doesn't make logical sense, though. Array has one object. Array.count = 1. [array objectAtIndex:array.count] = program crashes
array has a week worth of days. Sunday = 1, Monday = 7. [array objectAtIndex:Monday] = program crashes
the days of the week should start with 0? Apples libraries don't agree!
Well it's not because Apple say so that it must be the better option :P But for me I'm just used to array starting at 0.
well it's easy enough to catch the hundreds of off-by-one errors that come up, but it all seems so senseless
I don't see why the day of the week could not start with 0
And if I draw a representation of an array like: 0---1----2----3 where --- are the obejct the index of the first element the space between 0 and 1 (I don't quite know how to clearly express that idea in english)
sure, it Could, but it definitely Doesn't. As long as you want to use apples libraries for days of the week/month/year, and their calendar conversions
21:12
Well yeah if you're working with Apple libraries sure, but I was more generic than that.
For example, JavaScript getDay() return 0 for Sunday, 1 for Monday etc
that being the case, i guess its more apple that I have a problem with
Just to make things even worse, in Sweden the week starts on a Monday, and Sunday is the last day of the week.
Just what I was about to say!

Great monkeys think alike ;)
21:19
well @SimonAndréForsberg this should work in Sweden also, but it would still say that Monday was 1 and not 0:
+(int) dayForToday {
    unsigned units = NSDayCalendarUnit;
    NSDateComponents *dateComponents = [[NSCalendar currentCalendar] components:units fromDate:[NSDate date]];
    return [dateComponents day];
}
How do you create a new label for issues in Github?
Sweet thanks!
21:27
Simple enough!
So, what are milestones used for?
> What type of file format does ReadMe need to be @marcandregirard ?
Imply that the issue will be in the next release I guess
Sorry for all the github stuff, doing a little maintenance as I want to get back into this :)
^^ What's that?
Is there a specific file format? Is it even a file in the repo, or something strictly in Github page?
github.com/Cardshifter/Cardshifter/blob/master/README.md -> this is the Readme for carshifter/carshifter
Ok. *.md then
Simple enough it looks like
21:38
I'm not sure that *.md is right, but Read.md or ReadMe.md is suppose to work
The ReadMe will automatically be pick up by GitHub to show at the homepage of the GitHub project
You can just go on github.com/Cardshifter/cardshifter.github.io and click "Add a README"
Oh ok. Do you want me to start it, and you can add your stuff in afterwards?
Sure, start it and I'll edit it later! Anyway I have other more pressing issues. Like finishing the webapp :P
It was working but for a reason I can't understand, the war was not refreshing in the tomcat
Your question went hot btw
and TTQW
LOL it did???
22:31
> Create README.md
> Created primary README.md file and pushed it. Waiting for feedback if changes need to be made for now, otherwise this issue can be closed.
> @marcandregirard Just commit what you have so far, next time you're around and if you feel you are happy with the grid layout. We can just add more contributors later on as we get around to it.
> Need to get a logo for Cyborg Chronicles from Jay, and revisit the GDD that @bazola about the storyline and setting for the game, so I can write a short summary.
23:06
You're on a streak @Phrancis!
23:22
TTGH. I tagged you in one of them :)
I think it was due for some maintenance, and now that my web browser at work finally supports Github and we are slow I figured I would clean up a bit!
