Q: How can I unlock the ability to respec?

I've read that eventually in the Homestead I'll unlock a room that allows me to respec my characters. I presume this is done by using enough bloodstones, since right now I've used two and those have both led to rooms being unlocked. How many do I need to unlock it? I'd really like to respec, but...

Oh, so the new 3DS will come in both standard and XL size versions.

Also... why did they move select and start again? I mean, I know the XL's Select/Start position annoyed me, but I swear they change between below the screen to two buttons on the right and back in every DS revision, let alone 3DS

(They're back where they were on the DS Lite if you've ever had one of those)

Like, within each game, something actually happens. Granted the fact that you manage to lose everything every time is hilarious in its own right, it kinda outweighs the fact they shoe-d in an explanation, though.

@Frank IIRC, Gothic I had you trapped under the rubble of a collapsing cave at the end of the game, so Gothic II could start with you being low-level since you just barely survived and were in coma for months or something like that.
