Part of what you pay for is the exposure on the Featured tab, after all

the idea is that as soon as you spend it, it's gone for good.

@GnomeSlice Perhaps you could answer your own question with some garbage answer and accept it? That seems rather petty though... Usually an answer with two upvotes has some redeeming quality.

I've been on "peaceful" for a few days now. I got really irritated when ghasts continuously put out my portals, blew up the path between them, and left me stranded in the nether with no way to relight my portals (because I had blocked up one side of the portal to prevent me falling off a ledge, the portal couldn't be reactivated. Guess it wasn't considered a portal frame anymore) because they won't let me spend the 50 seconds I need to remove the obsidian by hand.

Yeah I did the same thing. I actually mapped my surface after dealing with that through 30+ deaths and now there are like twenty extra portals on the surface because of ghasts blowing up the originals.

(I only built one on the surface.)

I've got two extraneous portals. One's actually nice, because itmaps to the same nether portal that's outside my base (so it's a shortcut back up the mountain) but I haven't found any diamonds in this map yet, and haven't the heart to spend 15 minutes removing the extra (which is right next to the still glowing portal)
