Q: 2 Guards, 3 Keys, 2 Locks

SinhThere are 2 guards: one only tells the truth, the other only lies. There are 2 locks and 3 keys: each lock can only have 1 key matched - the 3rd key doesn't do anything. You can only ask one specific question to both guards. The guards will only answer your one question by only pointing to...

@Oray Nope, it's not given
@JMP they will point to one of the other 2 keys, of course.
@JMP I did say they will point to 1.
@SayedMohdAli Yes I know the answer
What do they do if I ask them a question that they cannot determine the truth value of? For example, "which key unlocks Lock A and also doesn't unlock Lock A?" How does each person respond to exactly that question?
@hdsdv now that is a good question, you make the guard can't answer you so your question is not valid.
Just to make sure I understand - any question that could possibly cause the truth-teller to be unable to answer truthfully is off-limits?
@hdsdv well, you can make the question so the guard a possiblity can't answer but not definitely can't. So you forced them to go with other possibility

then i'm back to my original question - what does he do if he finds himself unable to answer? For example "which key is the key that i'm holding and also unlocks Lock A". It's possible that I have the A key, in which case he can point to it. But if I don't have the A key, what does he do?
On your question, there's a possibility for you but definitely on them
I'm afraid I still do not understand. Is one of the rules that I cannot ask a question if it would (under some configuration of the keys and locks) force one of the guards to be unable to answer?
If so, I think that should be specified in the question. If not, I think the guards' behavior when they cannot answer (truthfully for the truth-teller or untruthfully for the liar) should be specified in the question.
can people ask multiple questions like this one below clearly solves the problem. if people can ask multiple question by using but and or ,

which are the right keys and a key to lock A?
it seems like people are trying to do that like i read hdsdv chat
also JMP answer
Now this is funny yes, but it is not valid as in you can not ask the question can make them not answer
@hdsdv but for you there is a difference between your possiblity and their. If you acknowledge there's a possibility they can't answer then it's not valid, but if acknowledge there's possibility they can't answer then they have to go with other
*they acknowledge
First I will divide the keys I will keep one to each guard and keep one with me. then as the rules specified each guard can point to only one key. I will not ask them to point to the key. name the person having the right keys.

***so my question will be the name of us who is having keys to open the lock and a key to lock A?*** the truth-teller will tell me the names of the person among us having the correct keys and also point to the key. to
lock A.

This is a interesting ideal to have because my answer is based on it
so this can be a partial answer

@SayedMohdAli multiple condition is allowed that's why there are many valid question use form If something, is something? Here's a example puzzling.stackexchange.com/questions/2188/…
@Sinh yes, I saw it...
answer of this question is also a sample.
