A: Did Dr. Hannibal Lecter like Clarice or attracted towards her?

Darth LockeYes, Hannibal Lecter sees a lot of things in Clarice. Someone who is smart, but not rude. (Rudeness is Hannibal's biggest pet-peeve). Someone who has suffered in a way that he has suffered (childhood trauma, loosing family), And eventually, someone who may be able to house his dead little siste...

Thanks for answer. I have not read the novel. I have only seen this movie today.
I apologize if there is too much spoiler information (and I can hide it, if you would like), but it was the only way to answer the question, because their story is ongoing in the next novel and film (even though they end differently both make a point to show Hanniabal's affection for Clarice) and then Hannibal's childhood story then also gives some weight to his pursuits in the Hannibal novel and strings back to Clarice in SOTL telling Hannibal about the lambs screaming...
I got new information about the novel of name Hannibal. I think this is only single part of movie?, right?
I'm not sure what you are asking? The film Hannibal follows most of the novel of the same name's threads, minus some cuts, but the endings are dramatically different, even though they both spell out Lecter's affection for Clarice, but the film omits the necromancy/misha aspects and Clarice's manipulation and affections returned.
I mean to say - other than 'The silence of lambs' which movie(or other part) is there which is relevant to this story? I have not seen the movie Hannibal. I am asking about 'The silence of lambs'

Hannibal "film" is only partially relevant. They follow most of novel of the same name's threads, but they omit any mentioning of Mischa and the ending is dramatically different, as Hannibal never gets a chance to manipulate her, but when she attempts to catch him yet again, he does something that proves his love for her, even though in the film it is not returned, like it is in the novel. Hannibal Rising (film) is not directly relavant without that information. But the book Hannibal Rising informs the Hannibal novel greatly.
Ok. Thanks for helpful information. I definitely want to read this novel.
However the Hannibal TV series connects the threads of all books much greater and fleshes a lot of Harris' concepts out. He wasn't finished with it, and we were not yet introduced to Clarice, but many hope he will be able to continue now that he has SOTL book rights.
Can you give me information where I can get this TV series?
thanks for initiating talk with me
There are lots many book available on this,
http://gen.lib.rus.ec/search.php?req=Hannibal&lg_topic=libgen&open=0&view=simple&res=25&phrase=1&column=title
But I don't know author name
Hi! The only platform that I know currently has it is Amazon Prime Video (US). So if you have prime membership, it's included for free as apart of their package
Ya there are a lot of materials on Hannibal!
I am from India. Can I view this series in India?
13:51
The author is Thomas Harris.
I'm not sure how you could view this in India...
please tell me name of book also
which includes all the story
And, I really like the character of Dr. Hannibal (Anthony Hopkins)
The books came out in this order: Red Dragon (this is not about Clarice, but when Hannibal is caught by Will Graham), Silence of the Lambs, Hannibal, and Hannibal Rising.
ok
what is the name of series?
The time line of Lecter's life however is Hannibal Rising, Red Dragon, Silence of the Lambs, and Hannibal
The name of the TV series is Hannibal
ok
13:54
The books and films are usually considered the Hannibal Lecter franchise
ok
the TV series is as good as the movie?
I mean the characters playing the roles in that series
I was trying to do a quick google search for Hannibal TV series in India. The only thing I saw was that it might of been on Netflix India last year. i don't know if it is still there or how accurate that information is
I have netflix subscription
Let me check
I LOVE the TV series, because of the way Executive Producer Bryan Fuller fleshed pout the source material Mads Mikkelson plays Hannibal much closer to how I imagine him in the books (which I in know way mean to slight Anthony Hopkins)
that is wonderful
Now, I can see whole story in TV series
13:58
But the series was canceled sooner than Fuller wanted, but he's hoping to bring it back and finish it. The series is a prequel leading into Red Dragon, but it takes aspects of Hannibal and Hannibal Rising and built them into the time period.
He didn't get a chance to introduce Clarice or Silence of the Lambs characters because of rights, but he has those rights now.
ok
There are 2 Hannibal on Netflix
The time line is updated too so the Hannibal Rising aspects, which were starting to be shown in the third season, would most likley be a little different than the book's, as it can't be a WWII story in the same way anymore
Probably the movie and TV series.
So the Anthony Hopkins one is the film. And the Mads Mikkelson is the TV series. Also the TV series references both the books AND all of the films!
One is movie where the character Hannibal is same (Anthony)
another is series (3 series)
Yep. That makes sense
You mean, TV series included the books story
?
I will see the series
14:03
Ya. The TV series is not "identical" to all of the books, as it changes a few things and adds a lot characters to flesh the whole story out, but it does include a lot of things from both the books and the films, but in a new way
ok
It's done in a way that feels more Hannibal and Bryan Fuller tries to build on some thinsg that weren't explained in the books
and movie Hannibal is same as 'The silence of lambs'? (sorry may be repeated question)
It's not the same, it's a sequel to Silence of the Lambs. The Hannibal book and movie have very different endings and Mischa parts of the book version are not included in the film.
I know it's very confusing! :D
ok, I will have few questions while watching the TV series or movie sequel. If possible plz keep this chat box in active mode.
14:07
Sure! I hope you enjoy it! :)
ok, thanks for now.
bye
