A: Did Captain America make out with his niece?

TheLethalCarrotThat would very much depend on who you ask. The writers believe that Cap went back in the same timeline and so there would have been two Caps from their point of view. Fandango: So people are asking... Does this mean an old Captain America was hanging out this whole time while another Captain...

You can't travel back to the same timeline. You're misinterpreting the quotes. Being two caps doesn't make it the same timeline. Remember, there were two caps and hulks in 2012 (which was different timeline).
@Lobo "So Steve going back and just being there would not create a new timeline." they literally state a new timeline was not created.
The part that to me 'proves' that Cap was living in a different timeline is the fact that he came back with an intact shield. He could have only gotten it from an alternate timeline, since the 'original' timeline shield was shattered. Christopher Markus's logic is flawed, too, the Ancient One just says that removing an Infinity Stone creates a new timeline, not that no other action would do the same.
@DaaaahWhoosh There are multiple shields throughout the MCU, he could have gotten any one of them or simply one we just do not see.
Christopher Markus's logic is flawed and would create paradoxes. Directors' statement is correct.

@Lobo You can't state that so confidently, I always came to the same conclusion as the writers before any of their statements can come out. You can't change the past when you go back so no paradoxes are created... this isn't BTTF or the like.
@TheLethalCarrot Without different timeline, immutable past concept is meaningless.
@Lobo No, it just means that Cap always went back in time to be Peggy's husband so there was nothing to change.
@PatrickWynne Nothing to change? What happens to the original husband and their children if there's no new timeline?
If a new timeline was created, then we have to explain how Steve got back to the original in order to give the shield to Sam. If it's the same timeline, then no additional explanations are necessary. Since it is highly unlikely we will ever be exploring this further, the same timeline theory that requires no additional info would be the most economical explanation.
@PatrickWynne Captain America had time travel device which he could use to jump across timelines.

@Lobo Steve is the original husband. It's a time loop.
@PatrickWynne No, it isn't. Because when young Captain America met old Peggy Carter, she didn't seem surprised by seeing her husband young again and she even explicitly said that she didn't get to enjoy life with him.
@Lobo Well, that's the way it was intended by the writers: "Captain America Fathered Peggy Carter’s Children According to Endgame Writers" (screenrant.com/captain-america-father-peggy-carter-kids-mcu‌)
@PatrickWynne Obviously, their children would exist in alternate timeline as you can't change the past.
@Lobo Have you considered that Old Steve asked her to lie to Young Steve, so that he could save the world (repeatedly) instead of franticly searching for a way to travel back in time? Of course she's not surprised that he's young, she already knew she would see him again, because he had already seen her.
@Chronocidal - When young steve met old peggy, she had alzheimer's and wasn't at peak mental capacity - It seems unlikely that she would be able to keep such a secret.
