T-1 minute to launch of New Glenn
Seems go for launch
Deluge going
Aaaaand liftoff
Cleared tower, so ground is safe
Looking good
Meco and a successful stage sep, with stage 2 ignition
Sadly no continued video on the upper stage
Booster relight confirmed
Booster telemetry kinda paused on-stream though which is … interesting
Second stage orbital
probably lost the booster

Getting the re-entry burn right was something SpaceX took some time to get correct. More data will be collected and the issue resolved I am sure.

@geoffc yeah. Was hoping their experience with New Shepard would help them succeed first go, but the fact that they essentially already have a working expendable rocket (that may be able to take paying customers) is great for them. They can now go and focus on working out landing issues while flying it regularly, like the Falcon 9 did.

@fyrepenguin Test on customer flights is an awesome approach. Let someone else pay for the test program.
21:04
@geoffc - Landing a large booster on a barge could be a useful experience for SpaceX (future Starship) as well.
22:36
And IFT-7 also looks go for launch in 1 minute
Go for launch!
Go for catch so far
And that catch was smooth like butter
Perfect Catch #2 !!!
Ship is looking wonky though
Loss of data? Not great
It’s kinda interesting - Blue Origin had a successful first and second stage launch, but a failed landing, while SpaceX had a successful first stage launch and landing but a failure of the second stage, both on the same day
22:59
Have they confirmed an upper stage failure yet? Somethinng has happened clearly/
Ah well Ship 34 is almost complete. Booster 16 is almost complete, lets go for IFT-8!
HArdware rich programs are FUN!
They reflew an engine from IFT-5. Of course they took engine 314 (The Pi engine, with a slice of Pie painted on its bell). But you realize that means they have built at least 314 engines!! They are closer to 500+ based on Serial Numbers.
They talk about Turkey, burning ship.
@TheMatrixEquation-balance Turks, not Turkey. As in the British overseas territories by the Dominican Republic and Jamaica. Turkey is nowhere near the flight path
@geoffc see the above link for video of the alleged post-RUD re-entry

Seen a few more videos looking similar
