It’s hard to believe we’re already four weeks into the New Year, especially as everything we have to celebrate from 2021 is still fresh in my mind.

@uhoh Mine is a Simpsons reference to Homer in Space. Fans will recognize the chant of "Inanimate Carbon Rod". TV guy sees the ants on the shuttles screen, thinks they are giant aliens and immediatly sells out humanity at the first hint. A great line.
I use that line, way to much, since it fits so often and I find it hilarious, even ifI am the only one who thinks so. My wife thinks I am nuts.

@peterh That is 100% not what happens over on Skeptics. The process there is very plain and transparent - yes it is incredibly strict, but they are up front about the strictness. If you follow the rules it stays open. Otherwise it is closed really quickly.
It stops people just asking random questions - it needs to meet notability requirements
That avoids it just filling up with dross that someone heard, or imagined, or made up
