I like Promise the best, since the 2020 rover's raison d'être is astrobiology research.
Leaning on the definition:

That is, the rover represents our hope to discover a promise of life.

I think "Superceded" is a better name. It launches in 2020, arrives in 2022, and I am betting within 2-3 years of landing, SpaceX will land a Starship on Mars.
I am betting they send SOMETHING in the 2022 launch window... ]

One of the semi-finals I judged made it to the list.
One of the names I judged was on this list, but it was a different essay.
 
How did you get involved in the judging? Stupid car tracker got you onto that? If so, well played indeed.

Basically I saw a request for judges and pitched me being an engineer and website activity.
I think they let me in more based on me being an engineer.
