@RegDwigнt: I had one more thought for you about the thing/sting rhyme. While I like "familiar sting" leading up to the wasp in the next line, another word that could replace sting is tang which would make a nice slant rhyme with thing.

> A distinctive quality

> A sharp point, tongue, or prong.

I'm not saying it's better than sting where you have that, but it's worth mulling over.

@Robusto yes thanks I'll mull over this alright. This won't be set in stone for as long as I'm alive really.

The other day I spent like a good hour rehearsing what we have so far. Because I had noticed I still had so many different variants floating around in my head, even from before I showed you anything, that every time I'd hum the song I'd hum a total hodge-podge, and a completely different hodge-podge each time.

So I just sat and tried to force it all out of my head again.

Anyway. Jesus Christ, can't even remember the last time I was up this early. As in, not still, but already.

And on a Sunday of all days.

Been up for 5+ hours already, and it's still not even noon yet. To coin a phrase, dafuq.

But yeah, it's the Sunday of the Dead. And we performed the BWV 106.

The soloists were really phenomenal. The flutist was spectacular. And it was the first time in my life that I saw a viola da gamba up close.

Quite wonderful all around. But now I'm tired as if I hadn't slept for a week.

Cooking an espresso sei volte hoping not to fall asleep before it's ready.

This afternoon I promised to jam with the neighbors. John Lennon, Elton John and Peruvian folk songs. Piano, guitar, maybe I'll even shlep my bayan three stories high.

You gotta have more bayan for Imagine!

Does that mean something like "this has been turned into a function so now the test (the code that tests something) is gathered in one place"?

hello

for my political science course, i have written an essay on dictatorship (some might remember me discussing some grammar points here before)

well the essay has been divided into four steps by the professor, the final one is to actually bring together everything we have done into one, well, essay

the thing is I don't know what to put in the introduction

i am writing on dictatorship

but I can't use the definition since that's what i am talking about

in the sense that my essay is about defining and explaining the concept

should i do something like "this essay is about dictatorship..."

and what about the conclusion, any ideas?

"this essay has been about dictatorship..."

@Luyw Are you free to put anything in your introduction as long as it's valid for such an essay?

If I were writing it I would try to interest the audience with what I'm about to say. If I'm talking about how to make glue, I'd include some glue history, why you need it when doing basically everything at home, etc.

About dictators, try to make studying them sound interesting. "Look at history, dictators did stuff and shaped it and all that"

I just figured out dictators are some form of glue.

Something Mussolini did, followed by a question like, "does this make him a dictator?", or "what makes this action dictatorial?".
