Not sure this is an appropriate place to ask but... Can I use "this is the extent of this change" to emphasize that this change only affects this part and not other parts? Online dictionaries say that "the extent of" has negative connatations and I was using it in the above mentioned context and now not sure I'm using it correctly.

@axk I don't think extent is necessarily negative, but you could use a more neutral synonym like scope instead.
