Q: Should piano scales start and end on the same finger?

Bob NoIs it usually a good idea to begin and end piano scales on the same finger? When I looked up "proper" fingering some people seem to recommend that and others didn't. Maybe there are pros and cons to both. What are they?

Oh boy.
Literally no piano scale starts and ends on the same finger. None of them.

@RegDwigнt WTF?
@RegDwigнt This comment kinda says it all: "Meiner bescheidenen Meinung nach spielt er das runter wie ein dressiertes Äffchen."
Feels like he wants to break whatever spell had been cast. Good work.

@Mathematics You have an interesting username.

@WillHunting Thank you, I hear that a lot

@Mathematics Is there any reason why you chose this username?

@WillHunting I like patterns

@Mathematics Oh OK. I also have an interesting username which may interest you, considering your username.

I didn't watched it, but I will put it on my wish list ;)

@LisaBeck: Your point being? The OP asked about the verbs, not the adjectives. And you haven't demonstrated a dime's worth of difference even between the adjectives. If you really want to justify your downvote, find a source that claims different degrees of intensity for these words. — Robusto 5 mins ago
They never quit, do they?

There's no getting out of that, not until we're dead and have gone to heaven.

@Robusto It might not be Lisa who downvoted you. The downvote could come from anyone.

Nothing really unexpected here, but a good summary.
His other videos are quite solid as well if you don't know this guy yet.
