anyone here?

Wow this place is quiet! Damn, no one will listen to me! If a word from the blue just told my brother that JoleAlaska isn't crazy, maybe he would help me convince Dad the same.
I love my family, but they do drive me nuts sometimes.
Well, my family thinks I'm nuts, maybe I am?
Makes me want a pizza!

Q: Is there a word to describe the phenomenon of "passive recollection"?

AleksandrHI wanna start off by noting that I'm not sure if anyone else experiences this "phenomenon", if one could even call it that. I'm curious as to whether there is a technical term to describe what I've termed "passive recollection". Essentially, throughout the day, I will randomly recall very vivid ...

Hello All
how to say the work of someone caused the success of project ?
I would like to write an email to say: Great thanks to "someone" and who was responsible for this success
maybe Great thanks to "someone" and who caused this success
"caused" seems to be used when something bad happened
but I did not find the appropriate word to say that someone "causes" the success

@Sayros You could use "Many thanks to Mr X, who greatly contributed to..." if he wasn't solely responsible for this successful project.
I think "responsible for" can also work.

ah what you suggested is more appropriate I will use it thank you :) @Cerberus

Good luck!

Q: What do I call a "heel fixture" used for attaching a pallet rack column to the floor?

CowperKettleI'm translating a text about a pallet racking system. One sentence goes like this: Крепление стеллажей к полу осуществить через металлические подпятники с помощью химических анкеров. Attach the racks to the floor via metallic "underheels" using chemical anchors. I googled and these "u...

Q: Single word meaning "Lack of perspective"

Aaron HallI need a single word that means lack of perspective. Someone of no account or notoriety is wrong on the In...

Q: Is there a word for (computer) keyboard keys that have a valley in them, like caps lock?

chiliNUTSorry if the title isn't clear. Some keyboards will put a pit/valley thing on certain keys to put some extra space between the key and its neighbor. A common one is on Caps lock, presumably so you don't accidentally press it when you want to press "A". I think I have also seen it on the "Enter" k...
