@MattЭллен Haha, awesome. I think I know that guy.

There's no alone with dragon age and chardonnay from cape cod that you forgot you had in the house

5:17 AM
No?
Hmm.
I haven't played yet, today.
I'm still in the end battle concerning Branka and the Anvil and other agents.

Wondering if anyone of you know if there's some kind of guide for making text in simple text documents (.txt) more legible? I don't know what the formatting is called, and I don't know if it's even got a name, but I've got some good examples.

3:21 PM
@TheoneManis using Courier New?

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 No. I meant the 'formatting' (like markdown)

paging @tchrist to the type discussion

I see that style in many text documents. Wondering if there's a guide or something

I guess I don't understand what aspect you're talking about.
I haven't been up very long.

ok :)

3:24 PM
Oh, like setting a carriage return at 80 characters?
so that there isn't a horizontal scroll forever?
format>word wrap in notepad

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 and stuff like that (centering titles, indentation, asterisks, underlines, etc.)

you got me there.
you could do it with htmls, of course
I got to take me a shower.

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 sure, I am asking this out of interest. It's so simple, yet not so obvious for newbies
(I mean the formatting is well thought)

feels bad
I am usually defending myself against noob accusations.

3:30 PM
:x
there is a lot of helpful information at w3schools.com

@cornbreadninja麵包忍者 If you are suggesting it, then I've gotta take you here: w3fools.com
(No, seriously, read it.)

It's ok. I came to know of that from someone else too. :)
although a long time ago :D

> According to a study of people asked to bet on soccer, however, that sense of control is an illusion. The study involved three groups of people: professional gamblers, soccer fanatics, and a control group that was indifferent to the sport. In the end, the two best performances came out of the control group, which, as a whole, performed just as well as the gamblers and soccer fans.
About how people think they are better than others at predicting the outcome of sports matches.

can you say: a car whose 4 wheels...

@crl Correct.

No starred comments in the right side pane. What happened?

There is a Brazilian band named "Dancing Crab"; is this stealthy spamvertising for the same?

Q: Strange dancing crab on stage at Sydney harbour

LillyWhat was that dancing crab a large audience saw in Sydney this weekend?

2 hours later…
6:33 PM
@tchrist Did they play Sydney?

6:45 PM
A musical about mutating crabs.

6:56 PM
@MετάEd ah.

> Francis also brought a gift for Benedict, an icon of the Madonna.
So much for that commandment about idolatry, eh?
This guy has asked 11 comma questions, and I don’t see any improvement or understanding.

@tchrist Perhaps he's a comma chameleon.

I repressed that joke, and you should have, too.

@tchrist Someone has to bend the straight line.

8:09 PM
Hello.

8:23 PM
Priceless.

Thanks.

Perhaps he is misspelling coma. It's happened before.

By the comatose.

@Mistu4u Probably a browser bug. Happened to me a few times too. Try to refresh.

@tchrist 9 are at negative votes. Hmm, really so bad?

Hurro
I see that Ben Davidow is on the radar.

@coleopterist Well. . . kinda. He isn’t doing his rep much good, that’s for sure.

He appears to have made one comment which places him a rung above Nortonn.

Nordie makes comments, sometimes.
@JasperLoy The dead cannot speak of the living.

@tchrist I should clarify that Bendy commented on someone else's question.
Nortonn does sometimes respond to comments made to his own questions.

8:54 PM
Hmm I don't remember this Ben.
And hello.

@Cerberus This guy.

Hmm an impressive record, score wise.

Is 1 the lowest score possible? Or can 0 be achieved?

1 is the lowest rep.

His titles suck. But his questions seem valid, although a couple are duplicates.

9:00 PM
He certainly deserves points for his research effort.
Negative ones, that is.

There are at least three Metallica fans on ELU.

9:16 PM
@coleopterist I used to listen to M. all the time!
