Are there any resources to help find GIS volunteer roles, like working with a charity in a developing country? Is this a valid question to ask on GIS.SE? It would make sense as a community wiki if so.
@StephenLead I think that question is fine for here in the Chat Room but even as Comunity Wiki I think this is too broad for the focussed Q&A of Main because it is asking for a list of resources for GIS volunteers. What you could do is set up a web page or a Facebook group or ... with collecting such resources as its purpose and then post a Community Ad for it in Meta - I'd be happy to provide one of the six votes needed to give it some air time.
