Hey @PolyGeo, the question that was migrated into meta around the Open Data Cube, can we get it migrated back please?
I have a project working on the ODC, and we're hoping to start doing Q&A in GIS SE, rather than on Slack (where it currently happens) and this question was supposed to kick that pattern off.

Q: Where to ask questions about OpenDataCube?

Alex LeithThe OpenDataCube is an open source project that is aimed at making it easier to work with large volumes of earth observation data. The ODC Steering Council is the technical governance group who lead the development of the ODC including the core Python library and ancillary applications, such as ...

@AlexLeith I open to hearing dissenting opinions but the question above looks to me like it fits Geographic Information Systems Meta much better than the Main site of Geographic Information Systems.

Q: Should I brush up my SQL skills before getting into GIS?
I won’t put this on the main site, as it is primarily opinion based.

I have self-taught MySql skills, and a PostGis book on the way from Amazon :-)

I am an embedded programmer, with *cough* decades experience. I have self-taught PHP & MySQL on & off for about 20 years and Angular 1.x on & off for about 7.

My SQL skills are basic CRUD. I know how to 3rd order normalize, but nothing about optimization or more advanced stuff.

I am about to take a few GIS courses from Coursera. Should I take a detailed SQL course first? I feel confident with CRUD.

@Mawg I don't think any Coursera GIS course will require advanced SQL skills
I would be surprised if they even touch on spatial SQL beyond the basics
