On Windows it’s pparently not that bad. But the font they choosed for Ubuntu and friends is absolutely unreadable, there is no getting used to it. — Emil Jeřábek 23 hours ago
I am on Windows, so I can't really judge Ubuntu or Linux. I'll just point out Ubuntu was mentioned a few times in the recent discussions related to the change in fonts.

Zannastatus-review Ubuntu font is great for titles and fine for body text; on the whole it's a really nice improvement. BUT the code blocks are harder to read and don't look good. Ubuntu mono is too narrow. A nice workaround for this was suggested to me by Eliah Kagan - one can install the free-as-i...

Another solution is to increase the size of Ubuntu Mono on SE. I posted another answer around the same time with that suggestion and a couple of links talking about how Ubuntu Mono is known to be ~2 points smaller than many other fonts meta.stackexchange.com/a/364275/338301joelostblom 2 days ago

joelostblomstatus-review Could you increase the default font size of Ubuntu Mono? This font is known to display about 2 points smaller than most other monospace fonts (as commented on here, and discussed further here). It would be great is SE accounted for this and increased the size with 2 points instead o...

@Zanna I didn't want the hassle of installing the font, so I ended up installing this userscript to use monospace instead of ui-monospace etc. Thanks! — wjandrea yesterday

Considering dropping Ubuntu as a font entirely in this Stacks pull request. There isn't a clean way of getting around Ubuntu Mono being so small 😞 — Aaron Shekey ♦ 11 hours ago
@AaronShekey Am I correct that dropping the Ubuntu font and dropping Ubuntu Mono are separate solutions, intended to fix separate problems? They're different fonts, after all, and personally I like the Ubuntu font as it appears on Ask Ubuntu (but I dislike Ubuntu Mono there, for the reasons Zanna described). I'm not objecting to dropping the Ubuntu font if it's causing problems for a lot of people, but dropping both fonts, if it's due to a problem specific to Ubuntu Mono, wouldn't make much sense to me. — Eliah Kagan 10 hours ago
Yeah the site looks wonderful in Ubuntu font to me 👌 Users of other Linuxes seem to be getting old clunky fonts - maybe put something in the stack for them after Ubuntu font? — Zanna 10 hours ago

Aaron ShekeyUpdate 2 - Alright folks, got some follow-up for you. You can see I’m considering some changes over at the Stacks repo. Sidenote: did you know our front-end library is open source and y’all can see what we’re up to? macOS and iOS continue to get San Francisco Windows continues to get Segoe, but ...

There was an update in the above post.

Q: Efficacy of bounties by reward amount

Alec RheaIs there any data available on how often bountied questions receive answers? Can we stratify by bounty amount, to see if we're actually 'getting more bang for our buck' when we bounty higher amounts? If the answer above is yes, can we get more fine-grain data? Can we plot additional views gained ...

Did you check the SEDE queries available in some related posts, such as: How effective are bounties? (on Mathematics Meta) or Probability of getting an answer by bounty (on Meta Stack Exchange)? Probably you might find some other similar posts. (You'll probably want to run those queries for MO - just a reminder to switch the site when running them.) — Martin Sleziak 14 mins ago
Somethings probably wrong with those queries? It seems as if bounty lowers the average number of answers - compared to all questions.

Of course, simply counting answers (as I did above) is a rather simplistic approach. Many bounties are offered not to attract new answers but to reward an existing answer.

Although it seems that "Reward existing answer" is not chosen that often on MO. PostnoticeTypeId by frequency: MathOverflow, Mathematics.

Possibly one could only look at answers after a bounty. But it's a bit unclear what is the thing to do in the cases when the question had several bounties: chat.stackexchange.com data.stackexchange.com/math/query/1260991/…

Some bounties not offered with the intention to reward an existing answer rather than attract new answers. In such cases, we cannot say that the goal of the bounty wasn't fulfilled if no new answer is added. (I have added a few comments in chat. We can discuss some related things there - if we want to avoid having a long comment thread.) — Martin Sleziak 15 secs ago
Average viewcount depending on the amount of bounties: MathOverflow, Mathematics.
