@ToddTrimble I am not sure to which extent the above really needs attention from moderators - but still I thought it might be worth pinging you.
I have moved the messages, since they seem to be more on-topic for this room. (This is unrelated to tagging/editing, which are the main topics in the editors' lounge.)
Just in case somebody might be surprised why they got invitation to this room, I'll just mention that moving messages automatically also sends an invitation.
@MartinSleziak I received flags on the post saying "Not an Answer", and on looking at the post determined that indeed it was not an answer to the question (about the Dedekind psi function). Indeed the author says in the beginning of the post that he (I think he, not she) is adding two conjectures.
The user should know that what goes into an answer box should be content that attempts to settle all or part of the question, not new questions. My deletion is a routine course of action for such cases.
I am below 10k on MO - so I wouldn't be able to view the post, even if the link to it was available somewhere. So I do not know much about the actual content of the post.
As @user142929 was trying to contact the mods in another chatroom - and you were the only mod that was logged in chat at the time, I tried whether this might be a reasonable way for them to get some response.
What I can tell to you @ToddTrimble is that I provided an answer with good faith, again. My intention with the mentioned post Q/A is try to ask about those natural theorems/conjectures that should be in the literature for the Dedekind psi function.
@user142929 I handled the situation as I handle the situation with anyone else. As I said, the proper use of an answer box, according to long-standing and network-wide policy, is to answer (settle) the question. Not to ask another question, or to make some other use of it. That is all for now.
