HNQ?

@HarryGindi Hot network questions. They were discussed on meta a few times, for example: Traffic from the list of hot network questions and the post linked there.
It is a recurring topic on meta - so I would expect a user who wants to become a moderator to be familiar with it....
Some basic info about HNQ can be found here: meta.stackexchange.com/tags/hot-questions/info

Martin, me being moderator is a meme, alas
It would never happen in a billion years
I don't think that time heals all wounds, unfortunately

Yes, you left here a comment some time ago which hinted at the possibility that you were (are?) no really satisfied with everything about the site.

I'm sure that by posting even that request to reopen the colorful statements in mathematical papers, I reopened some stubborn old wounds ><
Actually, the current mod team is great
my comment was more about the damage to my own personal reputation
In the last year and a half I have had to ask several places to delete certain old threads about the disliking of me ><. Luckily I was able to persuade them all so far =)

To be honest, I did not notice threads dissing you in some way. So perhaps this is a sign that I do not follow meta closely enough.
But even if there are (or were) such threads, I definitely do not plan to start looking for them.

Nah, it was mostly stuff that popped up if you searched my name on google
arguments on meta.math.SE
etc.

As to the question whether the mod team is great or not, probably I should not comment on that.

I think the administration here mercifully deleted the 2011 moderator election thread

To be honest, I would be surprised if somebody did something like that.

I think it actually did happen, because I can't seem to find it

Oh, I see you're right about that:
François and I were elected in 2010, but not using the special StackExchange election infrastructure. If you have over 10k points, you can see the (now deleted) June 2010 moderator election page here: mathoverflow.net/questions/28198/moderator-election-vote-her‌eS. Carnahan ♦ Aug 24 at 17:38
Well, for an outsider like me, MO definite looks like a rather secretive and clandestine site.
(Of course, I'm saying this with a bit of exaggeration, but it seems that moderators hide quite a lot of stuff from regular users and some stuff also from Stack Exchange.)

I like that. I trust the community of mathematicians over the decisions of the SE people.
Also it was serendipitous that Quid was not elected in 2013 ><

Looking at the direction this exchange is taking, it's possible that I say something I might later regret. (I'm not sure whether you feel the same way.) So I should probably go.
Have a nice day!

Hahaha, be well, Martin!

4:06 PM
Oh no, the new theme is activated
