@FrançoisG.Dorais I'd guess that the part of the above discussion related to feature requests and attitude of a part of MO community towards them can be briefly summarized by these two messages:
It would be ridiculous to see every once in a while on meta something like: "If this feature is not implemented, I think MO should leave the network." Luckily, most of the users around here do not have this attitude.
@MartinSleziak I have seen more than enough milder forms of it. Plus, the comment got several upvotes. But I agree that most users do not have this attitude (which is not a contradiction to a few displaying it at least at times, including some in the categories you named).
Looking at it, I see that the post on meta I copied from has a minor typo (MathOvertlow 2.0): Who owns MathOverflow?
In case there is some support for the tag suggestion on mine and the question is going to be bumped because of adding the new tag, perhaps the typos (if there are some) could be corrected at the same time.
