@beagle3 Add truly concurrent languages like Erlang, Occam etc. Not Go. Add dataflow languages, though they have a lot in common with concurrency and array languages.
@JohnE I think APLs require an ability to think more abstractly and looking at things in more than one way. That is usually in short supply.
I do think that can be changed with a book like SICP (but note that even SICP is not all that popular).
May be something more down to earth like "The Art of Electronics" by Horowitz and Hill. Plenty of practical problems solved using APLs. May be a set of Jupyter notebooks using APL?
