@NicolaSap To some extent the SE network does feel like a pyramid scheme. Somewhat interesting strategy to pander to the new contributor, would much prefer the nag screen "if you like this question vote". common on other sites.

@GiantCowFilms ikr??
@batFINGER There are a number of such nags which pop up, but only in somewhat specific situations

A: Disable "don't forget to vote" message

Jeff Atwood The message Welcome back! If you found this question useful, don't forget to vote both the question and the answers up. only appears if you haven't been seen on the the target site for 24 hours, and you hold a valid user cookie on the target site, and your account has more than 15 rep o...

@gandalf3 Cheers for that. Strangely I've never seen it on BSE. which could mean I've never spent a day away I suppose. On another note, can you recall a SE browser addon to highlight users voting history on mouseover?

nope
@batFINGER I see them all the time on SO, if I vote up an answer to my question, I get a "don't forget to accept", and I'm pretty sure I've seen a "don't forget to vote on the question too" when I just upvote answers on other questions.
I haven't seen that particular banner all too often, but it was the first thing I could find a meta post about :P

Remember seeing it on firefox addons list pre 57. Didn't bother to install, but that was then.

Something like this..?

Q: "Toggle vote history" button on the timeline

Michał PerłakowskiDescription Adds a "Toggle vote history" button to the timeline, which toggles visibility of vote events. I'm of the opinion that changing peoples voting behaviour is foremost. Too many good questions and answers with 0 or 1 vote get lost amongst the crap otherwise
Yes I do believe that's the one. Thankyou.

amazing!
That was the wildest guess..

3:37 AM
wait a minute maybe not. The one I saw was like a warning that the user doesn't accept or vote. And hence consider not answering.

What is it with dark profile images?

@batFINGER Oh good, I don't have to start buying lottery tickets now

That old one of mine is on alpha. Gravatar removed it.

We have all been consumed by darkness...

Gotta combat all these websites with white backgrounds somehow..

3:40 AM
The Duarte is idle for me ... not so dark

@batFINGER I'd suggest leaving a comment explaining the accept feature, if it seems that they don't know about it or forgot
Especially if it's on someone else's answer
I know I usually feel too awkward to mention it on my own answers
So it's always nice when someone else comes in

Ditto on asking for UV on own answers. Another one of my hypotheticals is having multiple accepted answers. Accepted is a good term, doesn't imply right or wrong. On the other hand a big green tick...

Open that, enter fullscreen mode, and bask in the not-whiteness
... unless your monitor isn't 1920x1080. Then you're out of luck.

2560x1440 :(

ouch.
about:blank and manually make the background 000?

3:51 AM
That way it won't get pixelated I suppose

Unless your home page is a blank black screen XD
then just open a new tab

My desktop background actually happens to be just that right now
@X-27 I should do that, good idea

Q: Woudn't it make sense to have more than one answer acceptable?

ak3nat0nOr at least have maybe the ability to set some other answers as assisted answer. I find myself finding an acceptable answer unusable while other answers underneath it might be more suitable. Would it be safe to say that the accepted answer should only make sense to the asker whether or not the qu...

Q: Which answer do I accept if I have multiple correct answers?

Dan GoldsteinI asked a question that turned out to have multiple correct answers. How do I pick between them to determine which to accept? All of the answers were different. They were not the same answer given multiple times.

@batFINGER Related ^^

grumble... distracted and the 5min comment edit timed out.
@gandalf3 lol The idea is subversive according to one answer..

@gandalf3 Nice word play in that question title. On words, could argue in SE terms "chosen is accepted" .

iKlsR would be sad...
