Just a heads up. if you are in the suggested edit review quew watch out for edits by "Matt" he seams to be just changing links (I'm guessing a scripted thing). Most of his edits were removing url shortners (something I'm all for, and a good edit.) However then he got to the goo.gl ones, and some of those a perfectly fine. google maps, google photos ect.
TLDR Please look carefully at the edits to make sure they really help before hitting the approve button.

I just tested BE and it is working fine fore me. (PS you can delete 5034, but only after you read the supplied url)

@David I've seen a few of those some days ago. I didn't aprove all of them, they didn't seem to improve at all, particularly for "formatted links"
I was also suspicious it might be some advanced form of spambot redirecting legitimate links elsewhere. Didn't actually check the links, unfortunately the review queue doesn't make it easy to, they aren't clickable and manually navigating to the original post is a hassle

@DuarteFarrajotaRamos just click on the "show markdown" button at the top. That is always how I view edits. I need to know what they are really changing.
@DuarteFarrajotaRamos yep I saw. Like I said removing url shortners is a good thing. However when you get to one like this this make no sense changing the url.
He edit one of mine yesterday. Now that is debatable. I would not of approved it, but whatever.

@David Yeah most of those I didn't approve, I mean I understand the advantage of no shortners, but the benefit for those is dubious, it is almost invisible for the average visitor

@DuarteFarrajotaRamos maybe. I guess I'm different I like to see where I'm going before I click on a link. url shortners do not let me do that (without addons). Plus it is another layer of external links that could break our posts.

@David I think that is the # sign bug. Considering the snails pace the re-write is going at, I should probably fix it.
thanks for alerting me.

agree, plus could be a security concern, you never know where you'll end up redirected

@GiantCowFilms sure, of course. Are you going to post on the meta question?
@DuarteFarrajotaRamos exactly.

Commented since there is insufficient information to confirm.
@DuarteFarrajotaRamos ?

@GiantCowFilms he was still talking to me about url shortners
