@TARDISMaker Fair enough :P

@TARDISMaker Yeah, mv should work nicely :-) What do you need specifically?

hi fellas. is this an ok place ot ask a really quick question about Blender objects?

3:58 PM
@DuarteFarrajotaRamos You just hit third place! :)

@SuperMegaBroBro Sure.

4:19 PM
@Ignatiamus I just was thinking of moving some files from a cd to the computer
I think the concept of a wizard for it (leftover from windows) made me think that I would need some special software...
@gandalf3 What do you think about starting ricing.se?

4:47 PM
@GiantCowFilms were you aware of a little bug or something assigning favorite votes to brand new uploads to Blend-Exchange?

Yes. Completely re-written version should be out soon. All those bugs are going to go away.

5:02 PM
alright, cool. complete rewrite, huh? that site has been challenging for you at times.

5:18 PM
@X-27 Yay it did! That's probably as much climbing as it is going to do. Next ones are already too far ahead, I don't think it can catch up

Yeah :/

@TARDISMaker I'll subscribe/follow, though between {superuser,*nix}.se I'm not sure it has enough of its own niche

7:22 PM
@TARDISMaker If you dont have a graphical file manager, you'll have to cd to something like /media/username/cdmount/ and then cp * /destination/folder/ .
Otherwise he'll complain about missing write permissions - obviously, as it's a CD

7:52 PM
@gandalf3 I think it might. Just looking at the unixporn subreddit makes me think that if you could get half of those people over there, you could cover a lot of ground when it comes to customizing

Procedural raindrop effect in Eevee. Eevee is awesome ! #blender #eevee #realtime #b3d #raindrop https://t.co/L0InLModuL

Q: How to make a procedural node setup to for raindrop effect in EEVEE?

AmirI just saw this amazing video that shows procedural raindrop effect using a node setup in EEVEE, created by this person. It's not possible to see the node setup from the video. So I wonder if someone knows how to create a node setup that does what's being shown in the video.

I get the impression that superuser and such are more from a technical perspective that wouldn't be too helpful for those types of questions

I see what you mean
I've just been trying to properly change my cursor theme for like the last half hour

Nice :P
What are you changing it to?

All these DE specific instructions aren't helpful..

7:54 PM
I think I've always had mine set to adwaita (or whatever gnome uses) and never changed it

@TARDISMaker Just what I had it set to before, breeze_hacked
I think it only worked before because I had KDE installed at one point and set it then
no idea what it did
turns out cursor theming in X11 is weird
There are lots of places you can specify the theme, and some applications might listen to some of them

Huh...

My cursor now cycles through like 3 different themes depending on which window is focused and which window its over :P

Ouch :P

xsetroot looks promising
@TARDISMaker I wouldn't mind making some kind of gaudy animated transparent cursor theme, but I haven't any good ideas..

8:02 PM
@Ignatiamus Okay, cool
@gandalf3 Yeah, making your own stuff is hard
That's a surprisingly good recording ^^
Sound quality is solid and the interpretation is decent

8:41 PM
@TARDISMaker nice!
Have you heard these before?
They also did the well tempered clavier

9:03 PM
@gandalf3 Those are some solid recordings!
Thanks for pointing those out

9:22 PM
That's pretty good too...
