Well... A couple of things. One, there is no presiding, and two, there is no empire. I think anyone who tried that would get shot down rather fast. What I do is work fairly and transparently to help people get on, to clean up mess, and to support communities, both on SE and elsewhere
For subjects I am interested in, I have gone for elections. I didn't get in over at Bicycles, or on Travel, which are also important hobbies of mine.
And people who like the way I moderate have voted for me
That's pretty much it :-)
