Q: A hatchling hook plugin to compile gettext po file at build time

Serge BallestaContext General The Python Packaging Authority (PyPA) provides a framework to easily build and install packages from a source project. It works nicely for Python code and text files. I chose to use the modern hatchling which is a sister project of hatch as a build backend. On the other end, the G...

@ÖöTiib You do not always look at code through an IDE. In particular, there is no keypress to jump to the declaration or anything when you are performing code review (which is when you need this the most) — Eternal 12 secs ago

@Eternal are you saying that you do C++ code review without compiling and running it? Just from some web page? Waste of time. — Öö Tiib 47 secs ago

@ÖöTiib Are you saying you do that yourself? Do you not have something that compiles the code and runs unit tests automatically before code review? — Eternal 1 min ago

Q: Improving upon the Security of my Export Remote Database to Local PHP API

Cory GreenI am working on an in-house application, and I am working on how our application communicates with our remote server. I have a PHP script that acts as an API to call to our MySQL DB and dump its contents. I've been doing research on best security practices for this type of scenario, and I believe...

@CaptainObvious Do you have experience with Hatch? @Peilonrayz
I'd never heard of it.

Possibly.

Personally I'm kinda locked into my skeleton git repo now. I've basically got all the features I want OOTB... If I need something else I just update the skeleton and merge. And I value uniformity more than anything else tbh. I don't really look at the PEP build tools alternates or the setup wizards.
Uniformity is good, it decreases the likelihood of mistakes.
Yeah, I'd make so many... :(

"if is ok and what I can add or do better that is already present" - codereview.stackexchange.com though you might need to put some more work into your question. As for the design itself - arguably you will need more than 1 class to represent SO domain with questions, answers, comments and voting system. — Guru Stron 44 secs ago

Once again I dare to post on SO.
Imagine me writing an infinite loop. :)

~8.5 years ago I incorporated the OneDrive picker into our web app and recently discovered it stopped showing the interface to select items so I recently updated it to using a newer version of the API, though there is an issue with popup blockers in most browsers unless we use an iframe - which I can do, but it is already loaded in one iframe based on this suggestion
