Is your output correct? If not, what do you actually expect? If instead you know your output to be correct, this is a question for Code Review and not Stack Overflow. — Reinderien 45 secs ago

I don't see a question here. If you're looking for improvements to your working code, please ask in Code Review instead. Otherwise, please move your solution to the Answers section of this page and rewrite your question to be an actual question. — SomethingDark 21 secs ago

Q: Counting All Possible Combinations of Years Per ID Per Group

antonoyaro8I am working with Netezza SQL. I have the following dataset ("my_table") about students (over the years 2010-2015), the current degree major they are enrolled in, the date than an exam was taken, and the exam result: student_id current_major year exam_result 1 1 Science 2010 ...

@Julien I'am sure this is not an ideal solution for the problem. So rather going for code review, looking for better solutions. There are lots of repetition in the code, however, somehow that code is becoming elusive for me... — Arun Kumar Khattri 56 secs ago

Q: Python function Converting an integer to bins as per given interval

Arun Kumar KhattriI am trying to convert an integer (num) to bins as per given interval. the bin size (intervals) are [1, 200), [200, 400), [400, 800), [800, 1200), [1200, num] I'am doing it in a crude way ... def create_bins(num): """Create Bins as per given intervals.""" s1, s2, s3, s4 = 199, 200, 400, 4...

IMHO this is too much code for SO. Consider asking on codereview.SEThomas Weller 17 secs ago

Before you post at Code Review, be sure to read A guide to Code Review for Stack Overflow users, as some things are done differently over there - e.g. question titles should simply say what the code is for, as the question is always, "How can I improve this?". Be sure that the code works correctly; include your unit tests if possible. You'll likely get some suggestions on making it more efficient, easier to read, and better tested. — Toby Speight 27 secs ago

Q: C++ producer/consumer multithread pattern: optimize synchronization and memory model

user274919This code originates from a SO question and its follow-up, reproduced here. In the main thread, data are produced and store inside a buffer. A task Workload consumes these data but is slower than the producer, thus it runs asynchronously and can miss data. As data loss is acceptable, they are sto...

It seems to me this question is more suited to be asked in the Code Review Forum. Code Review is a question and answer site for peer programmer code reviews. Please read the relevant guidance related to how to properly ask questions on this site before posting your question. — itprorh66 17 secs ago

@TobySpeight You have voted to close this question, why, it is HNQ, and has at least 3 high scoring answers?
@pacmaninbw Oh, "Needs details or clarity" is a rare one. Pretty sure our rules around NDoC is like Dutch weed. Illegal but unenforced.
@pacmaninbw Absolutely no description of its purpose. It has #define GRAVITY 9.82f which suggests it's something related to free-fall on Earth, but the title and description don't give even the vaguest functional spec, only describing the structure/mechanism of the code.
I would say because the question lacked context before editing codereview.stackexchange.com/posts/286099/revisions

Welcome to StackOverflow! This is currently off-topic for this site, but might be more suitable for codereview if you can specify what you want to improve. — erip 46 secs ago
This isn't the place for that kind of question. You want Code Review. — Ouroborus 18 secs ago
This question is too broad for Stack Overflow. You can probably ask on Code Review instead, but first please take their tour and read their How to Ask page. — wjandrea 10 secs ago

@SilverFish you probably wanted to post that on Code Review... or specifically ask for particular improvement. (Obviously for SO you need to remove randomly added code like that semi-empty exception block). — Alexei Levenkov 28 secs ago

Q: C++: algorithm that uses fixed-size buffer of data that are produced in stream, faster than the algorithm speed; modified version

OerstedThis is a, I hope, an improved version of this code, limiting atomic usage (following @GSliepen, @G.Sliepen advice) (NB I'm limited to, at most C++17): #include <algorithm> #include <array> #include <atomic> #include <cassert> #include <cmath> #include <condition_variable> #include <cstddef> #inc...

Q: C11 zero copy lock-free triple buffer

mausysThe code is for a single producer, single consumer scenario, where the consumer only cares about the latest information shared by the producer. This is just a simple proof of concept created for linux. Synchronization between the processes is done with a single variable: xchg in the zcl3b_map_t s...

FYI, the OP posted a followup on codereview.SE: C++: algorithm that uses fixed-size buffer of data that are produced in stream, faster than the algorithm speed - you might want to take a look since you've already spent time understanding their code. — Peter Cordes 45 secs ago

Q: My code transform a given text in a Word document with the first half of the words bold

VttriumI used the https://python-docx.readthedocs.io/en/latest/ module. I tried, but couldn't find out a way to clean it. The i...
