@Phrancis ... eslint ;-) and semi-colons ;-)

@rolfl Semicolons are overrated ;-)
Yet you just used one in your smiley ;-)
WebStorm has a lot of good inspections, maybe I'll add it too
You can add eslint as one of its linters... consider it.
It's a nice project there.... I'll have a kick at it when I have an hour to spare.
And nobody else has reviewed it (comprehensively)
It does things I need to learn about, so it's a good timing thing
@rolfl I can put it on github if you like, the only things missing are the package.json and the CSS
Well, I have a drink, and Friday night is movie night.... and tomorrow I have to go and renovate my brother's bomb shelter.... so it won't be needed for a while ;-)

Yes, really.
I've never seen this being an issue.
Your question doesn't look interesting to me at all. You say that you have implemented "Storing databases" but haven't described at all your approach to do so.
Well, it sounds obvious to me that a DBMS stores its data on the disk, but I can add that part
You say you don't find my question interesting though, that's not one of the criteria you're supposed to downvote on according to the tooltip.
I'm all for giving advice, but that downvote tells me you're saying "your question sucks"

@SimonForsberg And the question is written by me, I don't see your point

Again, I don't have a problem with criticism by itself though
Just polish the question a bit based on the linked meta and all will be well.
In fairness, it could've been much better written.
On the other hand, I doubt it's blocking reviewers, if we actually had reviewers who were interested in such questions one would've answered by now (with the added bounty too)
It's probably not terribly written as then someone would've pointed it out, but I cannot say it's well-written just because it lacks response

Seems a reasonable use of subroutines, although I've never seen Close raise an error so On Error Resume Next / GoTo 0 in the CleanFinally subroutine doesn't seem warranted. What's the question? If you have real code using this, Code Review would probably be a better place to get feedback. There is nothing special in the mapping. The NHttpModule has a flaw, it tries to use the session after a failure for logging. It should log with a new session instead. But that is probably irrelevant to your question. The SessionProvider is an exception eater and conflicts with NHttpModule on transaction handling. No wonder strange things occur. @Phrancis It should insert new entries into a db if they're not already there.
So, insert, or ignore if already there.
I'm positive the function gets called for every entry, but the database shows no new data getting inserted.
Log doesn't show anything, but I don't trust the log much TBH.
Currently, it doesn't appear to be doing anything at all.
The except block also gets triggered every time, so I suppose something went wrong in the execute.
But I'm not sure about that.
It might be a bit odd construction now I think about it, perhaps this is not how you check for already existing entries in a 'normal' environment.
@Mast Have you tried printing the exception to see why it fails?
I don't know as much about SQLite, but normally in SQL you'd do a conditional statement like IF NOT EXISTS (SELECT 1 FROM BookAuthors WHERE AuthorId = 42) INSERT INTO ...
OFC you could also write the conditional SQL query with Python, but that would require two separate queries so it may not be best for performance

I would expect Haskell to have handling for that already, seems clunky to manually map MIME types

This is not a very good duplicate, but I think the question should be put on hold anyway, because this is not a code review site. The code is good, though, so there's nothing to review :-) — dasblinkenlight 19 secs ago
@rolfl I have a dilemma, what do you think? This Node.js book I'm going through has a chapter on using DBMS with Node, the exercises use MySQL; my dilemma is this: I don't have MySQL installed and have no need for it, but I do have SQL Server installed, and there exist npm packages for that DBMS, so I could either adapt the examples to a different DBMS and save the hassle of having to setup MySQL, or install MySQL like the book says to do...
You're familiar with SQL Server?
MySQL has some odd ways of setting up uers/passwords, and other permissions if you're not familiar with it.
If it were me, I would use the SQL Server if you know it well enough to adapt.
I know SQL Server quite well since I've used mostly that for a few years
And already have a DB setup on localhost
And I mostly dislike MySQL lol.
Yeah, once you have a new database going and you've got the user set with permissions, the rest should be very similar to the tutorial
OK thanks for the input!
