@QPaysTaxes Better not, especially if it's just sharing stuff for fun. It doesn't seem related to the topic of Code Review.

OK just wanted to make sure you saw it :)

@QPaysTaxes For me it would depend on the spider type. For most common spiders, I'd choose the latter. But if there's a Black Widow in my salad, I'd rather discover it before eating it.

No, that's okay. As long as there are no pictures.

@DeepakKumar: Why should I? Apparently you are not even interested to properly format your own code to help others analyse it. In case you have no idea about proper formating: just google. It need not be perfect, but al least properly indented, so one can see the structure. As far as I see from the code now, it is sprinkled with bugs and needs a major overhaul. I suppose that is because of not understood basic concepts. No offense! It's just that this would require a tutor for you or at least a site you can discuss/review your code. See here. — Olaf 57 secs ago

Technically you can also use jQuery with CoffeeScript.

OK.

@Phrancis This is 512 bytes. It's probably not very useful to think of it as an integer or to worry about the largest possible unsigned integer you can represent with this many bits... that's not really what it's used for.
The only reason the integer value you could represent with 512 bytes holds any value at all is that it represents the total number of possible combinations a key could hold--the total number of tries you'd have to make to brute force your way through every possible combination.
(Number of Combinations) * (Time per try) / 2 = average time it takes to brute force

@Mat'sMug do you VB6 my friend ?
I VBA, but used to get paid maintaining VB6
what's up?
I have a piece of VB6 ancient code which needs some editing. Very trivial
Wanted to know where should I start from?
what do you mean?
I haven't managed to get my hands on the code yet so not sure even if I could open it with VS or I need to go get the VB6 setup
don't open it with VS
if you need to modify the code, you'll need to recompile it right? you need the VB6 IDE for that
05:08
What do you recommend?
Visual Studio 6.0
Yes. I need to package it and make an executable
best of luck my friend
And would that install on a x64 system such as 7?
I know. I am gonna need lots of lock :D
@Mehrad yes. just ignore the warnings
05:11
Don't want to fix that problem but since now I compiled and packaged it on a 64X system break some other stuff
Oh... Okay. warnings ignored
will keep that in mind
it's a 32-bit process, your x64 won't change anything.
good to know
fair enough. After I get it started I will ask more detailed questions

wasn't looking for a code review (i hoped that was clear), there is still a bunch of other code. I went with this approach instead of vectors because vectors are less easy to work in when working with specific items at a time. in this case i could use X/Y coordinates. i also wasn't really sure what to do with the empty fields. I'll try it though, it does look a lot cleaner as far as desgin is concerned — Felix Neijzen 32 secs ago

@Morwenn To be honest, C++ and Python aren't that different from each other. Although the way they handle typing is completely different, if you know one you can easily learn the other.
They allow to express similar problems in similar ways but they really are quite different.
Under water, yea.
Above water there isn't that much.
Considering how heavily I use templates, the two programming languages seem quite different to me .____.
Python templates can be done in many different ways, so I wouldn't know.
That's one of Python's problems though. You can do everything in it, but it can be hard to find the obvious way to do it when the problems get bigger.

Ah, yes wonderful idea @FreeMan . The only problem is I come up with an error message at the line dict.Add v, "" saying error: this key is already associated with an element of this collection. I'm not sure how to fix that... Wow I didn't know about Code Review that's fantastic. Thank you for that tip — Taylor 34 secs ago

@Mat'sMug I did not kick him, not sure if anyone did.
I didn't
@Mast Not sure how to "read" that chat message either.
As an observation, having "modded" now for more than a year, and chatted here for almost 2 (hmmm... holy crap, I have been a mod for longer than not-a-mod....).
OK, @Mast - even if your intentions are good, it is seldom a good idea to confront people in chat. I strongly recommend you don't. You don't have the tools or official "authority" to deal with things.
If things go well, that's great, but if things go badly (which is more frequent), then they go very badly, for more than just the other person... but for you too.
Whatever you may feel about things, I stronly recommend you stay anonymous as much as you can. Flag things for mod attention, or as abusive, or something. Don't 'talk' and make a target of yourself.

@rolfl my experience is quite the contrary
As a moderator I have the "luxury" of being able to handle things in a different way than you do. This gives me tools that can defuse things in different ways. It does make a target of me, but that is part of my responsibility, and I also have a support network that can back me, and I can escalate to.
the problem is, that one must not stoop down to their level when confronting them
