Q: Improving HTML & CSS accordion

ANMI'm looking for suggestions to improve my accordion code. Someone could also use it as a starter for their code. Here's the demo. HTML: <div id="accordion_main_div"> <ul id="accordion_main_div_ul"> <li id="accordion_main_div_li"> <a id="accordion_main_div_ul_li_a" href="#one">...

Oh well... I take the smiley there as an indication that he didn't mean anything bad.

@RubberDuck: some dude with 19.5k followers on the tweeter just favorited your tweet about my blogpost
This was a great idea
What does favoriting do exactly?
@JeroenVannevel That's cool!
It shows up under the "Activity" page of his followers.
ThinkGeek favorited one of my tweets.
Alright, I'm keeping an eye on my wordpress stats
Hasn't resulted in anything so far.

Q: More efficient/cleaner way of getting css files

Chris MuenchI have the below script which returns css files based on production or development environment. The development section is fine; but for production I have to do 2 loops to get the files. finally got my mongodb vagrant machine working
turns out that mongodb automatically binds to 127.0.0.1 which prevents it from being linked by vagrant even if you forward teh correct port. This was listed on page 3 of the search results.
I don't see why it wasn't mentioned elsewhere >.>
seems like a pretty big deal
Many thanks for the constructive comments. I forgot to add that it was not completed. I had been testing the class using a console app hence the console statements and would in future add events. I also had not finished the exception handling. — malovern 31 mins ago
If your code is not completed, it is not ready to be reviewed and you have effectively wasted 3 people's time. Think of Code Review as what happens when you submit a Pull Request to an open source project. You feel like you're done with it, so now it's time for a second set of eyes on it to tell you whether or not you're actually done with it. — RubberDuck 11 mins ago
I disagree, peer reviewing at an early stage can catch problems far before they evolve. Such as suggestions, for example, to use different methods for what I am trying to achieve. If you feel this is wasting your time, please feel free not to comment further. — malovern 1 min ago
14:53
@nhgrif Have you ever worked with anything like a Spell Checker?
Some one else wanna comment on that ^^. I'm not going to deal with it.
Thank you! Just curious, as a regex exercise I'm going to try to implement such a thing.
Thanks guys.
Downvotes ahoy, @RubberDuck
14:57
I'm actually split on that topic.
@nhgrif Time for me to go add that answer to rolfl's meta that I've been meaning to write.
Although I find it interesting that it only became off-topic when the OP mentioned his code wasn't complete.
If an op comment invalidates an entire answer, we can probably just close the question and downvote it all the way down.
At the same time I really don't like how he was like "oh yeah i've already one that. thanks anyway though".
@DanPantry his mention is an effort to invalidate duck's answer.
14:57
It's precisely the reason why code must be complete before we review :\
Sometimes people (especially noobs like yours truly), post something that's only a part of a whole, though that sub-part completely works. So, I sort of get where he's coming from.
Afternoon @all °/
Greetings @DJanssens
@DanPantry that is interesting. I considered that myself.
Duck's answer is great until the op says "well actually I haven't finished this part anyway" then his answer was a waste of time.
14:58
@nhgrif this is the part where I am like
He could've note made the comment
Or he could have called it out up front and I would have skipped over it.
It's a dick move to be like "OOPS, didn't mention that, try again next time"
Duck's answer is still great, op's just a bit of an asshat.

Anyone around know anything about Netflix marketing?
It works?
I need to get a short essay done by Saturday, and I know nothing and can find nothing.
I know more about their infrastructure than I know about their marketing
It seems Netflix keeps their marketing and infrastructure top secret.
Uhmmmm no.
@Hosch250 github.com/Netflix <--- infrastructure

Oh!
Thanks.
Their code interface is here: netflix.github.io but that link is spinning for me at the moment, but I am messing with my network settings, may just be me.
I already linked to that.
My U is a bunch of crooks.
You have to learn from somewhere
They could take their system out between spring/summer semesters, but they are doing it in two weeks and their system is going to be down for 10 days.
How to teach people what not to do in 1 easy step.
15:42
That gives me about 2 days to get a fair amount of assignments submitted.
All it is is a system update, not even a hardware upgrade, I don't think.
Even if it was, SE upgraded their entire system without much/any downtime.
At least, not any that I noticed.
For SE, IT is a profit center, for your UNI, it is a cost center.
I don't view it that way.
Your perspective is unimportant
They wouldn't be able to have any students if their system wasn't up.
Yeah, that's the problem.
Even though I am part owner of the U as a state citizen.
System stability and availability comes at an exponential cost.
to get twice the stability/availability, you need to spend more than twice as much
15:49
True, but isn't it possible to roll out system updates without nuking the system for 10 days?
everyone has a different requirement, and cost justification
@Hosch250 Depends.....
for example, perhaps it requires waiting for 10-day DNS records to expire ;-)
Are you supposed to take malaria pills before or during (or both) a trip?
@Jeroen - depends.
there are three basic prophylactics. eahc is different
the ones that are effective in the region you are going will have been prescribed to you.
Commonly prescribed are two: Malarone, and Larium.... which do you have?
(and in both cases, you are also supposed to take them after
I have none. Haven't met with a physician yet to see what I should take
15:55
OK, I am more familiar with the african prescriptions ;-)
But I plan on taking it since I might go to a region with malaria
Of the two, I prefer larium, it is a 1-time-a-week pill, 1 week before, all the weeks during, and 4 weeks after.
larium is "known to cause halucinations and insomia"
I have never been affected, and sleep like a log.
Malarone is 1 a day starting when you enter the region, and for 10 days after.
Ah yes, the classic anti-malaria/partydrug
you have to take them as prescribed though,
Seems like Malarone is the same as atovaquone plus progauanil
God. Those names.
15:58
Malarone tastes OK, daraclor, mefloquine and quenine are the ones that taste &&^@$*^%@# AWEFUL
Ah, Mefloquine is Lariam
Meeting, gotta run.
That seems seems most interesting though: just once a week
I'll take that over once a day
good luck

Not quite.

B is not exactly pronounced like V
Maybe it's an Argentinian Spanish thing
Just remember to roll your R's, in some words they sound like D's when the R sound is short.
@SimonAndréForsberg OP got two answers that weren't relevant and I could care less about the upvotes.
I care about helping people.
OP wasted my time, Heslacher's time, and perhaps most ironically, his own.

@RubberDuck I think you did help him.
I don't know. Maybe I did.
16:28
He did say: Many thanks for the constructive comments.
He did ask "Can anyone please review my code and see if I can make any improvements on it?" and that's exactly what you did.

"...peer reviewing at an early stage can catch problems far before they evolve." I agree, that's true, but that is not called "code review". that's called team programming, or extreme programming, or whiteboarding. The Code Review site is not the place to discuss which protocols, designs, procedures should be used, but to review whether the intended protocols, designs and procedures have been implemented well. It seems your code is still in the design/programming stage, not the review stage. — rolfl ♦ 1 min ago

....... what kind of cracker jack language lets you compile when you forgot the Then part of an If..Then?!
17:46
@RubberDuck What about if/else?
Are they conceptually different?
@Hosch250 that's actually a very good question. I would think not, but I'm going to go check now.
The Then part of an If...Then in languages besides VB is {
And those all optional in most languages.
Yeah. It's not optional, yet the interpreter never throws an error...
Thank god we're upgrading to the new software soon.
17:51
So, it is the same as if(condition) {}
sounds like it's de-facto optional
I honestly don't entirely understand what happens.
Or, is it the same as if (condition) statement;?
It just never goes inside the block no matter what you do if there's no Then.
So, it is like if (condition) {}
