I find that even when goto is the most elegant and readable way to solve a problem (which is almost never) I find it doesn't save me any time. I save a bit of writing, but then I have to defend it in the code review and to everyone who looks at the code until I tire of explaining it over and over and replace it with a clumsier conventional structure. — user4581301 48 secs ago

For this question you have NOT shown any code. You ask how to do it which is not something we do. Also we don't improve WORKING code, we fix broken code. If you want code reviewed try CodeReview.SE but check their guidelines first. — Paulie_D 57 secs ago

Q: Is this a sane (as in lacking UB) implementation of a ref-counted subscription cleanup?

smac89AutoCancel is a class which wraps a Cancel (void()) function. The purpose of wrapping the function is to track when the function has gone out of scope, and call the wrapped function before being destroyed. The below implementation is my attempt at achieving the intended goal. Implementation: #inc...

The loop version could be made significantly more concise, e.g., (defun remove-dups (xs) (loop for (x . rest) on xs unless (member x rest) collect x)). This answer might be better suited for Code Review. — ad absurdum 1 min ago
