If this is more or less working code, I'm not sure your questions are really on topic here on Stack Overflow. You might get a better response on Code Review. — Blckknght 42 secs ago

Does the code work (a hard requirement)? Then you want a review and should post on the code review SE instead. — Some programmer dude 47 secs ago

In seeking a code review and profiling before trying to optimise, it is also essential to describe what the code is intended to do i.e. the original functional requirement. Most techniques to optimise code for performance trade off something else and it is not unusual for that to be part of the original functional requirement (e.g. some edge case that is missed or deemed unimportant to the person polishing the code, but is important to the program's end user). Without a description of the original functional requirement, it's impossible to assess if some part of it is being traded off. — Peter 42 secs ago

Since this is code review, I think it's more appropriate to be posted in Software Engineering. — konsolebox 29 secs ago

You didn't really explain what your "ideal" or best possible code review approach would be. What are you expecting the tools to do for you? — StayOnTarget 21 secs ago
Before you post at Code Review, be sure to read A guide to Code Review for Stack Overflow users, as some things are done differently over there - e.g. question titles should simply say what the code is for, as the question is always, "How can I improve this?". Be sure that the code works correctly; include your unit tests if possible. You'll likely get some suggestions on making it more efficient, easier to read, and better tested. — Toby Speight 15 secs ago

It is in commitment now, (we are almost halfway done lol), so we would appreciate it if you commited.
Thank you!

@SᴀᴍOnᴇᴌᴀ I believe your first action was correct on this question. It does have an answer, pretty much the same one I would have written. There really isn't enough code to review and @TobySpeight comments are correct.

@pacmaninbw yeah I was wondering if it would eventually get closed by the community

It did.
FYI I up voted the answer.

There were several things that I thought could be a serious big-O error, but none of them seem to be the case. What you really need is a code review. You could combine things into objects, reorder them ONCE based on index, and avoid all those extra copies, but that's probably best on codereview.stackexchange.comKenny Ostrom 39 secs ago

I don't have sample code for you, but it's the Word Object Model documentation (and samples, often written in VBA), specifically how to iterate "storyranges", that you need to look for. A quick search took me to codereview.stackexchange.com/questions/174455/… but no idea if that is usable code. — jonsson 42 secs ago
