Q: Hashing service for files or directories on a generic filesystem

Patrick Christiemy program requires a hash to be generated for files and folders for data integrity between transfers and file system events (if hash is different, file is not ready). For data integrity, I wish to use SHA-256 and for checking if a file is ready for transfer, I am using a custom hash that uses sm...

If you want feedback on improving your current, working code, your question should be on codereview.stackexchange.com rather than on StackOverflow. If your code does not work yet, please clarify what exactly you need help with. — Heinzi 15 secs ago
I absolutely agree with you but i'm studying to see if it's possible or not (because we're talking about a solution for corporate users who don't have time, and especially desire, to type correctly... so they probably need 2/3 attempts at least to get access, even knowing the password). I've already seen the manage-account tool but apparently the lockdown method between these two solutions (manual lockdown and N time lockdown) are different and I can't use the first one to unlock a user who has been locked with the second one. thanks for the answer and the suggestion about code review. — Lory999555 57 secs ago

codereview.stackexchange.com - dynamically referring to locals because the scoping of your ifs is chaotic is imho a terrible practice. — luk2302 8 secs ago

Q: My code makes a tron-like game in turtle graphics but I'm missing a key collision

IanSo I'm doing the last part of my tron game which is to code the collision that happens when the 2nd players' tron bike hits the line of the 1st players tron bike. From there, whoever ran into the line loses, and the other one wins. So my issue is that I'm not 100% sure on how to code this, but I'...

Q: Proper way to send and receive buffer in Winsock

Y KI have a piece of code to send and receive buffers. I use fixed buffer sizes, so I don't have to send the size. Is this the right way to do it? And am I guaranteed that the full buffer will be sent and received? receiving part: char buff[18384]; bzero(buff, 18384); int totalReceived = 0; int rece...

Q: Split word based on terms from an array

codejunkieI was faced with a coding challenge and I'm looking for a more elegant way to achieve the goal. The goal was to take the first word in the string array and split it into two words separated by a comma with only the words from the second item in the string array. Example "base, ball", if it's not p...

"Let me know if I am implementing it correctly." No, that's not really what this site is for. If you're looking for a code review, there are places for that. If you have a specific problem, please indicate it and provide an minimal reproducible example. Providing code is helpful, but it's on you to isolate a little more where the issue is, instead of just posting a code dump. — CollinD 16 secs ago
