@SimonForsberg Definitely :-)
I sometimes leave an extra sentence indicating OP should feel free to ask a new question linking back to the old one for pseudo-bonus-friendliness.

That's normal when you're first learning something, don't feel bad that your first attempt was overcomplicated and unsafe (only works for aligned a, and leaks dynamically allocated memory - like I said just use a local array or use shuffles to hsum). But don't that doesn't change the fact that it's not a good example for other beginners. Perhaps codereview.stackexchange.com would be a good place to post attempts like this to get feedback on how to do it properly. — Peter Cordes 37 secs ago

Interestingly, or not, that made me just realize that async would work really well with rate limiting. It'd just be seamless

Try code review. We certainly can't do much here without knowing what the hang ups in your code are. The only responses you will likely get here are the same ones you can find by just doing a quick google search. (toggle off screen updating, don't select, don't copy inside loops, etc.) — urdearboy 59 secs ago
Thanks @urdearboy for your quick reply. What do you mean with Code review? i don't know what that is or what you mean with it. — Jelle van der Heijden 44 secs ago
I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it is better suited for Code Review (though make sure to follow that site's requirements when asking) — BigBen 1 min ago

Hello Wynn, its always great to hear people starting to code especially if they want to improve and get advice. If the code currently runs fine with no error and bugs then well done to you. However Stack overflow is not the place for such a question then. However There is a lovely sister site that is ideal for asking for code reviews. codereview.stackexchange.com. That would be the best place to start. If your code does have a bug or error you want help with please feel free to update your question — Chris Doyle 24 secs ago
