I forgot to ping @Jamal and @Janos
oh and @Mehrad

> How can I write good unit tests?
Good unit tests are a lie! :o
2016: the year I actually need to use a list instead of a vector.

@Morwenn you seem to have strong feelings on Unit Tests

@Quill Now really, I just don't like writing them as anybody.
Regression tests are good. Having errors in code is ok, reintroducing errors that were already fixed is not.

@Malachi Done

@rolfl Don't forget to add to that list

I'm voting to close this question as off-topic because it's about code-review (try codereview.stackexchange.com). — Oliver Charlesworth 26 secs ago

@Morwenn I do
call me loco

@JeroenVannevel Ew, let me leave this room at once.

@OliverCharlesworth - More than code review I am looking for validation of part of logic which provides much simpler alternative than the complex method associated. If people dont agree here I dont mind posting it on code review .. — oneday 26 secs ago

> I'm looking for validation
what do these people expect us to say?

@Phrancis thank you
I was taking that survey

pennies?

This may be a good question for Code Review, so long as: (A) the code works, and (B) it's not hypothetical or incomplete in any way. Please read the on-topic guide before posting, if you choose to go to Code Review. If you have any questions or concerns, join us at our CR Help Desk. — Quill 1 min ago
You are asking for a code review (from a performance perspective) rather than asking a specific question. There is a separate StackExchange site for code reviews. — Terry Jan Reedy 1 min ago

I need to write a 1-2 page paper on the differences between LANs and WANs, along with describing Physical and Logical topologies. BORING! that's why I am not in Networking! lol

Code Review's referencing on Google is overwhelming when you look for a specific implementation of an algorithm or data structue.

HeHe... You're picking up on the traditions around here, @TanMath...

^ now why didn't that not ping me?

probably assumed ... was part of your name

@TanMath, is that better?

each community has its own traditions... At least the fun communities! ;)
@holroy yeah, that pings...
what is unit testing guys?

11:56 PM
> Unit testing is a software development process in which the smallest testable parts of an application, called units, are individually and independently scrutinized for proper operation
You may find this to be relevant reading
It's an important and useful practice for Developers to get into

Why unit test when you can sell maintainance and bugfixes for years?
