@opa a mixture really, I've worked both as and with web devs but also I have spent significant amounts of time in environments away from web, services, desktop applications low level comms, embedded. You name it really!
And from what I've seen your assessment is pretty accurate, the world of web dev (particularly those closer to the presentation layer) is where I see that sort of attitude most frequently.
