@PyRulez I think one complication is the question of how does he develop his first long term goal. The first one he comes up with will be the last thing he achieves, because the development of any long term goal bigger than the first one would be in direct competition with the first one.
Another complication would be cases where Greg doesn't know the best way to accomplish a goal.

@PyRulez He can have multiple goals. Goals can have lots of cause and effect. For example, Greg learns to be funny, outgoing, and charismatic so he can get people to follow him. Then he will use his followers to create an army. So Greg would still care about people and be social, but only because it serves his long-term goal.
So he understands emotions and pretends to have them, all while having the cold logic of Sherlock or Spock. There is actually an episode of Sherlock on Netflix where he acts like he cares about someone and even proposes to them to get past security. It is genuine seeming enough that no one can tell he is fakeing.

@JohnLocke The interesting part about those goals is that they are all subgoals. They don't conflict because his short-term goal was crafted such that achieving it was part of the greater goal.

@CortAmmon Right. That means that depending on Greg's plan, he could be very social and charismatic.
