Yes, I am devoted to this site: I love math, and I love teaching math, but I also want to keep math.se a valuable resource for serious students, and don't want it to become yet another "homework completion site." I'll try to come up with a more profound answer to your question.

What would cause an issue is if you tried to place a diamond. That's a general rule though. Also clear impersonation is not alright. For example had they taken your identicon in addition that would be a clear case of that.

@amWhy you can believe it or not but it would be handled about the same way. In your case we reset right away. We reset first and asked later (well we asked at the same time but we did not discuss first). That's rather swift action. It's not clear what you'd expect.
