@XanderHenderson No, their not a fave of mine, but I do like some of their songs. These days, I hardly every buy music. I can usually find what I want on You Tube, and supplement with the music I loved from the past! But I do keep up a bit, with radio and such, and my two twenty-five-year-old-nieces, too.
I don't try to keep up either, just sort of exposed via, e.g., my nieces: "Oh, Amy, you gotta hear this (link to "this")!" And tuned into local radio when commuting (what is commuting? Haven't done that for awhile!)
Fortunately, my nieces aren't big on "top forty", but the occasional breakthroughs. They never fell for the Justin Biebers of the world, either! In fact, as millennials, they were extremely open to some classic (rock) oldies. So they aren't stuck in any one genre.
@Knight Yes, from scratch, and I won a "blue ribbon" in 4-H for it at a fair (4-H is for youth; I was 10 years old!). Now, if I bake a cake, I use a "boxed cake mix" with instructions! ;-)
@Knight I became, in girl scouting, the equivalent of what an Eagle Scout is in Boy Scouting. And had lots of great experiences along the way, camping, and a trip to Mexico, and trips across the US.
@Knight Hmm, I asked for a chemistry set one year, and a microscope another year, and a lot of books. I liked to pretend to teach, too. I was never big on dolls though!
@Knight I just loved learning. My parents made sure me and my siblings always had encyclopedias available, and a dictionary (the internet did not yet exist!), an atlas, a globe of the world, etc.
@Knight I said "unfortunately" because I never chose to watch it, only when in the company of someone who was, or when switching channels. I don't know any current wrestler on the circuit.
