Hello, @BillDubuque!
@amWhy What's new?
@BillDubuque Not much is new, but we missed a storm that was supposed to drop 8-16 inches of snow! So I'm glad about that!
@BillDubuque How about for you?
@amWhy No snow yet, but it was bitter cold last weekend. Not good when your blood has super long paths to follow (much easier to get frostbite).
@BillDubuque Yikes. True, bitter cold is not good.
@BillDubuque Are you in the Eastern Time zone?
@amWhy Yes, Massachusetts
20:37
@BillDubuque Nice state! I'm in the northern midwest/great lakes region: Wisconsin
We both definitely get cold in winter!
20:58
@amWhy Not as nice as it once was. Alas, naive politics takes it toll on both virtual and real worlds. I'm in the warmer part of MA, and very close to the ocean, so it's not as cold as the rest of the state.
Does being close to the ocean make you more prone to snow (though warmer)? I'm fairly close to Lake Michigan, which keeps us a tad warmer than much of the state, but also brings in "Lake effect snow"!
@amWhy Thankfully no analogous Lake effects here (I had enough of those growing up near Lake Erie, including snow drifts that completely covered doors).
@BillDubuque Lucky you!! Though, if we get a blizzard and freezing cold, @AlexanderGruber has invited us all down to Florida for a respite! Haha!
@AlexanderGruber Just joking, of course! ;)
@amWhy Are you sure you want to visit a state that is king of the weird world news? (e.g. Fark.com has a dedicate "Florida" tag)
@BillDubuque Good point, Bill!

@amWhy Browse the FARK Florida headlines before you venture there.
