@Bhavay Well, site do allow scope for dance , eventhough it haven't developed much yet here.So I wanted to know whether this category or style of music/dance have its origin from India or else adopted from other western styles.

Well, I uses to listen a vast variety of songs,let's say before this chatroom was created, I was much into fusion and western genres.So for me everything go in hand regardless of various genres, because I see the art behind it.As far as my interactions over here, @Rakeshjoshi introduced a lot of various genres of music here.So I could learn a lot about Indian film genres.Though from cultural, something which can match upto this item number concept , I can say is Lavani :

So was thinking, when did film industry started using this concept and modified it. Or else can be treated/categorize as separate genre.
@Bhavay Oh I see, I have to learn more about it what you trying to mention , like the those concept could match with the dance styles like Pole dance.
