@amWhy That user is not damaging this site anymore. You are going with a "my way or the highway" approach, because you haven't been able to compromise about anything at all, and therefore feel like it isn't a viable solution in any kind of situation. Please continue to be like that, I will not mind : but I am not like that , period. I will get fooled by a few people but will also have a list of successes. "But don't pretend you're effective" someone who is doing their job like I am...
... or like you are, is effective. Ugro was suspended not despite my efforts, but I played a part in it, however small. If you look at the thread, the only person immediately advocating flagging and all kinds of action, presuming that the author hasn't even been informed first, is you. Everyone else asked to take the middle path first, and it worked , at least in the short term. I'm effective and not pretending to be and you are effective and not pretending to be, but in different ways.
Acknowledge that instead of running away from it. You feel your time is unappreciated and wasted on math.se because you aren't able to give time to the primary objective of math.se : asking and answering questions. Please do that for some period and return, because your continually divisive stances and presumptions that people are only going to get the point if they are shown a harsh reality first, is not correct. The truth is, that I need to become more like you : but you need to become...
...more like me as well.
As for my flip-flopping : I have a clear stance, but it is different from yours. That isn't flip-flopping, that is friction as a result of having different opinions on running the site. I am having lots of fun by the way, but not on MSE : I have had a research breakthrough so thank you for your concern.
Speaking of something where we do match, this user has not been using MathJax in their posts and doesn't reply to questions asking about MathJax. Maybe we can flag future posts.

@TeresaLisbon I am not like that. I compromise, and I agree with Arthur M's most recent posts in math meta. Don't paint me like that, Teresa. Nor do I want you to be like that. I've never tooted my own horn bragging about my effectiveness. I won't be around much, not because I don't get my way; hardly. I don't appreciate your belief you know all about me, that you so freely label me. Maybe if you'd asked, I'd elaborate. Be well, Teresa.

11:43 AM
@amWhy What about your labelling of me as someone who is "flip-flopping"? To accept that you are not effective is running away from the truth. "you don't know all about me" Well, neither do you know all about me. We can only talk from what we see of each other on site, and on the mail interactions : and these are honest impressions we are sharing. You asked for honesty, you got it.

11:53 AM
I sort of understand where this is coming from : being polite and laissez-faire with users hasn't worked in the last eight years , so why is it going to work now? But there is enough evidence in my eye that being harsh from the off is also not going to work : EoQS has been implemented in such a way that the scales have tipped from people answering each and everything to being scared of attempting anything that is even mildly off-topic. Arturo's claim is difficult to disagree with, in honesty.
We have gone from one end to the other, it's all our fault in honesty. We have to achieve moderation, and quickly. This is what I am trying to reflect in my decisions. I don't see that matching with your view so we will have run-ins. And that isn't the worst thing to happen.

12:09 PM
@TeresaLisbon That's not where I'm coming. I am not in the extreme; and neither do you reflect that in your decisions. You wanted always to be honest with you. When you've struggled, even off site, I've supported you, listened, was a friend. Your only agenda today what to rant at me. Mission accomplished. Plus it helped me understand a rather skewed self perception you maintain, which explains a lot. Be well.

@amWhy "I am not in the extreme" no, I'm sorry, but people don't ask this and this on another site. They don't. Unless you refuse to recognize this and keep saying "I will be like this" ,"I will be like this", I promise you that nothing is going to change, the CURED problem is...
... not going to go away if people's perception of you , judging from those posts, is a lack of trust. I have always kept my approach in gaining trust, but today I had to defend myself because you attacked that approach very vehemently, as if it's the worst thing that anyone on site could ever do. I'm contributing and so are you, and I stand by that. I'm sorry this had to happen, but it is happening. You be well too.
Honestly, I just want to say this once again : I think our approaches contrast, and I attacked your approach because you attacked mine. I have already called for peace, and my approach is not flip-flopping. I would be answering plenty of closed questions if I were flip-flopping, for example. The truth is precisely that I have an approach that allows people to make errors and get away with them , in the hope that they will eventually understand. Because that's what happened with me.

I do not need to be a room owner, nor do I want P. That was one person's attempt to seek revenge against me. If you'd like to search gossip, and believe it about me, I want nothing to do with you. You're just wanting to distance yourself from me, and that's fine. Good political call. Please do not contact me. I'm okay with you, but I haven't searched all over the site and online to see what a suspended user thinks of me; I do know, from this site; but I don't aim to hurt.

@amWhy "I don't aim to hurt" I'm sorry, but you do so inadvertently, on plenty of occasions. It's not only about you saying it, it's about the other person who reads it as well. Go back and read what you wrote about my approach , and read it from my point of view and think about whether it would have hurt me or not. I was hurt, here I am trying to reason and you absolutely bashed up an approach based on it not working on a few occasions. I don't consider that feedback honest.

3:10 PM
So you are clearly bitter, and so you aim to hurt. If I remember, you welcomed my feedback; but were likely dishonest. Please do not contact me, unless it is related to asking for clarification, which I will do as well. And I'm not the only one who has reached out via email about their own perplexedness about your behavior, for months. You clearly were not honest with me all along, and now you blame me for doing what you asked me to do. Sweet. At least you revealed your true colors.
Please amWhy, thankyou, I need that. ... ... ... ... ... Now becomes "You hurt me for doing what I asked you to do. If you want to moderate, then why the hell didn't your speak with me about your change of heart?? Again. I am done in this room. Please change the room name to be of use to you, or we can let it freeze. I will respect you in any potential interactions regarding actions on content. Period. I've sent an email asking you to cease emailing me.
I've created a different email account, and have kept the old one only to notify those with my old email address, but will not regularly check it. Else, you're a stranger to me.

@amWhy I had asked you to remind me to stick to a certain kind of moderation, which I strove to do for some period and I thank you for your help, but "you are ineffective" and the reference to flip-flopping aren't true, I'm sorry, and these are personal statements that I took very strongly. Period. When I'm honest, apparently I'm bitter. Of course, honesty isn't part of my true colours, right? Ok then.

8:57 PM
The most hard to believe bit of feedback from the above that I've received is that my people pleasing nature is a political move. I'm sorry, I dropped ideas of being a mod long ago : when I knew I'd never have the maturity for it. It's a stance I take, that if someone asks they get conversation, and that meta must try to smooth life for as many on the main site as possible. Closure is part of that, as are my answers on meta.

9:07 PM
"And I'm not the only one ... your behaviour" If there are enough people , please have them speak to me, because I find my actions to be in line with what I've written down as a few general principles, which may be inconsistent in some cases. If this doesn't match with what the majority thinks, then I'm ready to drop meta in totality and stick to the main site without troubling any reviewers.
