@amWhy Recall user ugro. They were posting questions from some book, and the question would just be taking a quote from that book with an "explain this line please?" kind of rhetoric. The first time I spoke to them, it didn't work. Then I sent their questions to CURED, after which someone found a pattern and began following this user and closing/flagging their content. They were suspended and did not return. So we can pick up the pace if required.

The point is, I don't think we should start with harsher measures unless we knew they have taken place. I wouldn't have said this if I didn't have experience with ugro and that particular user's fate.

What I notice Teresa, is everything you post on meta is overly sweetened, and distinct from what you share here and in CURED. You are effective in your chatroom, but you are overconfident about your capacity to coax hard core abusers of this site. They may play into it, like Yorch did, remember? But they fooled you. And put off actions that should have been taken. Anyway, you do what you want in CURED; and if you want to play good cop bad cop, do so. Cured will have more work on its hands, and face increasing posts in CURED. Because I'm an strike while I wind down my unappreciated, wasted time on math.se.
