@MikeG you use both telescope plus projector? What's the magnification of the telescope you used?
I am in the area where both transits May in 2016 and on November 11 2019 occur is at night ; I was originally considering watching it in an area in Europe where November 11 2019 transit can be seen partly, but can't get the visa before then.
But if as the eclipse master Fred Espenak recommends, it takes a telescope with a magnification of 50 to 100 times to see the Mercury on the sun, then I may not be able to see it even if I am there because I don't have so big magnification telescope.

@CaptainBohemian The eyepiece projects the telescope's prime-focus image onto a screen, as shown here. Binocular projection worked for jknappen in 2016.

@PM2Ring I reviewed Kevin's Table 1 and removed the erroneous entries from Wikipedia.
