@eponymous I agree in principle, but that hasn’t stopped an absurd amount of politic-ing around the question of what is, or isn’t, bitcoin. I saw Murch comment somewhere asking how hardfork/airdrop questions would be handled, for example.
I think a policy similar to that comment of Pieter’s that I quoted above is reasonable. It allows for discussion of fork/airdrop situations as they are pertinent to bitcoin/bitcoiners, without needing to be an altcoin-development help forum
