@MaxVernon There's something like 3GB of spam transactions from over a year ago, do the deserve to be confirmed?

@eponymous - what do you mean, "spam" transactions? Very low amounts?
Sorry, I'm just trying to get an understanding of the situation.

Q: Is it safe to mention bitcoin/other coin related information on this forum?

SajithPAlthough nobody shares their private keys, I have seen so many people sharing their wallet information, bitcoin transaction ids, amounts transferred and to which exchanges/wallets and so much of information related to what they are doing with bitcoins. Can this lead to any privacy or security br...

@MaxVernon Yep. Came 5 weeks later than I thought it would, and absolute numbers are still higher than I thought they'd be.
Did you sell any?
I sold half about 2 days ago.
made back all the money I put in
which is nice
Awesome.
yah, I'm happy. Can't wait for the AntMiner S9 to arrive, though!
soon, supposedly!
I mean, should be less than 3 weeks.
gotta go to a quick meeting.
I stopped by to share a story of Bitmain's cruelty. I got an email this morning that says in the subject line "order shipped".
"OMG, they shipped like four weeks early. Hot Damn! I'll be mining by the end of the year!"
Nay, nay.
They did ship something ... the psu I also ordered. Miner still waiting.
So cruel.
HATS
Any Clockwork Orange fans?
What's the bitcoin equivalent of that story?
19:41
@fredsbend I have an actual Bowler hat. looks pretty much exactly like Clockwork Orange!
@fredsbend that's brutal.
I wonder how long shipping will take.
@MaxVernon I've ordered three times from Bitmain before. Shipping was pretty fast. I'd say about a week each time. Considering it's coming from China, that's pretty good.
Buy I'm USA. I don't know how Canada treats such things.
@fredsbend I imagine it will be very much the same.
@MaxVernon Nice.
@MaxVernon Tracking on that PSU says shipped the 21st and arriving the 27th. That's in line with what I remember. They're sending UPS this time though. All the other times were DHL.
what have you bought from them before?
if you don't mind me asking
Might have been faster if it wasn't Christmas around the corner.
@MaxVernon S series miners, and the short lived C1 water cooled miner.
19:46
perhaps. although that shouldn't have much impact in China, no?
That C1 was pretty cool. I wish they expanded the line, instead of retired it.
@fredsbend wow, water cooled.
@MaxVernon Biggest benefit was noise level. Much quieter.
I think it was 1th.
Well, I still have it, but it hasn't been on for over a year.
I'd try to sell it on Amazon, but they don't have a listing for it. I'd have to create the listing ... not sure how to do that effectively.
apparently they go for around $275, but never pay for themselves because of the 800 watts
@fredsbend eBay?
@MaxVernon I don't have a good history with them. Mainly, the buyers are a squirrely bunch. Questions about everything, returns, negative feedback over weird things.
19:49
ahhh
@MaxVernon Sold an S1 for $100 a month ago. Probably won't ever ROI, especially if price keeps dropping.
gtg
I've only ever been a buyer. Seems easy enough, but I don't think I'd buy any miner sight unseen, unless it was from the manufacturer.
@fredsbend have a good one
