@Shadow yes, the problem is that it only works for them.
they can't really keep others silent.
And the fun part is that when/if this goes viral, it doesn't even matter if what is said is true.
all what matter is what the people will choose to believe.
In that regards, I think that right now the "Monica has been toss away like trash" story has far more reach than the "Monica is evil and good riddance they fired her" version.
(Notice: I purposely avoided saying what version I trust in the above message since like I said I don't think it even matters in this context. All what matter is which versions the media will go with.)
Basically, right now SE seems to be risking to become "the company that talks inclusive and then treat people like trash" in the eye of the Internet. I would be far more worried about THAT than a "simple" legal dispute.
All of that just to say that I while won't try to convince anyone to take a side in this story... I would also add that I wouldn't really dismiss this beehive as "not-a-danger" like some other users do.
I... think the story is far from closed, like I said before.
We have crossed a line with this incident.
Before, we had a sad sequence of incidents with short periods of tranquillity in-between.
now... I don't think we will return to a "normal" state anymore.
we reached a point that some users will continue to meditate "revenge" constantly.
and this only means they will gather more momentum each time.
@Shadow and sorry if this was pretty long, I hope that it is also clear enough to see what I mean.
