Q: What does that mean, that A5/1 is clocked?

TomWhat does that mean, that A5/1 is clocked? What happens if the clocking bit agrees with the majority bit?

@forest everything in that article is still true. The retention time is weird, but that's a small thing. I recently wrote an RFID paper with a friend where we just stuck wires to a MCU and turned it "on". We can see a lot of information out of the other pins.
Oh, I see, that was in reference to my previous comment. yeah, i still twitch a bit.
@kelalaka @forest regarding that "clocked" A5/1 question, are there any unclocked ciphers? From an EE side, I find that someone would mention clocking at all weird because almost all electronic, digital systems are synchronous.

@bdegnan well, is it possible? I don't see that is possible. The OP was missing the knowledge.
Also, controlling the clock is the point here
