@LateralTerminal why should the educators POV different than any other people? Nobody has made a real argument as to why this question should stay open. And why are so many people voting on something unrelated it's puzzling. I guess people really like these questions.
@HermanToothrot OP wants to know the opinions of those in his field. Also because IPS stackexchange has a mob mentality and everyone has the exact same opinion there. Nobody knows why he made the question. Clickbait for more rep. Wants to know what people think. Wants to start discussion. Wants to be a troll. Nobody knows what OPs true intentions are. It's still a garbage question. Interesting but garbage.
@LateralTerminal I completely understand what you are saying, but why not close it or even delete it? It seems really a clickbait question and why are mods letting in off the hook?

You'll notice the original question has OP trying to figure out some facts.
Op wanted to know why it was offensive. Not specifically asking how to not be offensive.
"The bullets above are not rhetorical or sarcastic; I am completely sincere. I am worried because I don't understand precisely what was offensive, so I fear that I might do something similar. I have wondered whether the remark was offensive because:"
@HermanToothrot That's the quote from the closed question.
It could still be click bait but it seems like a more legit question than what the mods came up with.
