I wonder how they decide so early on that they'd take science stream after 10th

Of my peers here that do study, most are only concerned with the E part of CSE. I think that's a trend across colleges in India.

@Sahaj yup, this is a really alarming issue. Like 2 of my friends started coaching since 6th and 7th and they said their parents urged them to, not because they already knew they will take science in 11th(they're good at studying tho). So I don't think any child in 5th grade or something has any idea about these stuffs, those who do it, most probably do it bcoz their parents urged them to.
